Yellow Anyone?

Let’s all agree that yellow is a color that makes anyone happy?  How can it not?  The sun, the moon, the stars and now these yellow wide leg pants!  And the price equated to us purchasing them in every color, orange, green, black…DSC03367 IGDSC03265DSC03311DSC03384DSC03499DSC03332dsc03321-e1467081422559DSC03380PANT-LEGSThese pants are the absolute best piece to dress up, down, or in the middle.  We would wear them with a pair of flats in a second but this time around we wore heels.

Tieko wore a sleeveless blazer and a and distressed graphic tee.  She piled on gold jewelry because gold makes yellow pop brighter!

Style Tip: Make good use of your graphic tees by pairing them with your dressier bottoms, skirts or pants.

Mimi wore hers with a short sleeve denim button up.  And even though you can not see much shoe, a leopard print kicking out from these silky pants is a sexy.

Style Tip:  We are sure we have mentioned this before but adding a denim shirt to a textured, bright, or printed bottom is like turning your outfit upside down.  You always have a top for your bottom if you keep a denim shirt on your rack.

A Bit of Flare

I think we were channeling a Festival look or perhaps a Yacht party day look. Either way, these jeans should be in everyone’s closet because the flare is just so fun…and stretchy!  Yes we only wear denim with spandex because our curves appreciates it.DSC03023DSC02996DSC03205DSC02985DSC03188DSC02990MIMIDSC03178TIEKODSC02973DSC03016DSC03226DSC02942BYEThis pair from F21 was unbelievably everything; comfortable, enough spandex, the perfect wash and the length was just right!

Mimi served a sizzling summer HOT look, H-O-T.  She wore her jeans with a light linen blend cross front blouse with an exposed floral print bandeau top.  She kept her accessories at a minimum…what else is required?

Style Tip: A safe rule for showing skin is the more up top then the less on the bottom, and the same rule in reverse.

Tieko went for a boho festival vibe wearing her jeans with flats an a loose fitting tank. Her accessories elevated the style with a suede fringed bolero and a rustic stone and metal statement necklace.

Style Tip:  Flare leg pants are the perfect chance to get away with a flat because your shoe is barely there but be sure that your pants are a good length, not to fold under your feet but cover your feet.

Neon Color Blocking on a Budget

Do you recall the recent post we did of the jumper that we snagged from the little boutique store that was closing in our area?  We got this tunic from the same sale and it was under $20.  Every closet needs something neon for the summer.  But leave it to us to pair it with black…in the summer!  DSC00527DSC00732RIPPED-JEANSMIMIDSC00484DSC00821NEON-DRESSBRIGHTDSC00466DSC00470DENIM-JACKETNEON-SHOESBYEBlack just adds a little, or a lotta’, edge.  Every women has an inner bad girl!

Mimi wore her tunic as a dress but paired it with a raw edged sleeveless vintage Levi vest in a acid black.  She wore black studded strappy sandals because they were the perfect pairing to the denim vest.

Style Tip:  Your simple shift dress can easily be given new life with a piece like this denim vest.  An oversized vest is what adds the edge to this look.

Tieko wore her color blocked neon tunic as an oversized top by putting a pair (out of a dozen) of her black skinnies underneath.  She did a shoulder drape with a satin fringe jacket and a neon trimmed pony hair pair of heels.

Style Tip: Color blocking adds dimension to an simple cut shift dress without taking away the simplicity.
